7SHORT1LONG® was founded by crew. Twelve years in the industry and counting. First on container ships, later on cruise ships, most of that time as Ship Security Officer: gangway watches, ISPS drills, access control in every port on the schedule. 167 ports so far. Ask for a favorite and you get two without hesitation: Kiel and Tromsø. We keep our names off this page because the signal matters more than the people behind it. The sea time is real.

The name comes from the emergency signal every professional seafarer knows: seven short blasts followed by one long blast. When that alarm sounds, rank, nationality, and department become secondary. Everyone becomes crew.

The final push was a conversation ashore. The job came up, and the other person laughed: "And here I thought you were a yacht guy, because of that sailing brand you always wear." Twelve years of watches, drills, and gangway nights, read as marina fashion. Generic nautical labels dress working seafarers like regatta tourists, and nothing out there said crew instead. So we built it.

That is why this brand exists.

Being a seafarer is an identity built through watches, drills, port calls, contracts, and the people who stand beside you when the ship needs everyone.
